The syrupy western psalms of a greedy, false God are slowly reaching their brooding finale. What an awesome and awful run. If ever it was possible to extricate oneself from the ills of such a maleficent monster, that time has now come to a close. There has been so much agony, and now we must mourn.
In Winter Procession, compositional duo GOMID present an audiovisual harmonic offering to the final breaths of this beast. In collaboration with their close friend and reified filmmaking accomplice Macy Byfield, they have constructed and captured a propulsive, colourful and spiralling 15-minute long ceremonial march. If you are reading this no matter where you are in the world, you have been invited.
In a 15 minute ritual the song immerses itself within the cold, harsh, hellish and endless landscape of our dying present and continually offers reassurances to our surviving joy. The accompanying film extrapolates this into surrealist humour and a primal, sweet intimacy.
lyrics
My sweet sweet Seedling!
We'll survive the endless winter
The endless Winter
Spring is near
Spring is near
Spring is near
We'll survive the endless winter
The endless winter
The endless winter
Spring is near
We'll survive the endless
Pray for me lord I'm gorgeous
Pray from me lord I'm gorgeous
Save me from my worst impulses
Made in your image I'm flawless
Made in your image I am flawless
I'm flawless
Made in your image I'm flawless
My sweet sweet sweet sweet Sweet Sweet son of
Sweet Sweet son of
Sweet sweet son of the flawless you are gorgeous
Free yourself from your worst impulses
Indulge yourself of your best impulses
We are gorgeus
We are gorgeous
My sweet seedling you are gorgeous
You are gorgeous
You are gorgeous
My sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet sweet seedling
My sweet seedling you are gorgeous
My sweet sapling little one you are gorgeous
Save me from my worst impulses lord I'm gorgeous
Safe from my worst impulses pray for me lord i'm flawless
Pray for me lord I'm in your image so I'm filled with your worst impulses
Lord I'm gorgeous
Pray for me lord
Save me from my worst impulses lord pray for me lord I'm

Ball like there's no tomorrow
Ball like We know no sorrow
Ball like we're no one
Ball like we all just
Ball like there's no tomorrow
Ball like we all know sorrow
Ball like we all just sorrow
Ball like there's no tomorrow
Ball like we feel no sorrow
Ball like we know tomorrow
Ball like they cannot kill us
Ball like life is borrowed
Ball
Ball like there's no tomorrow
Ball like we know no sorrow
Ball like we all just
Ball
Ball like we all just
Ball like you're no one
Ball
Ball
Ball
Breathing the winter light
From lungs to lips our path takes with it
Lines we long to replace
With joyful fingertips
Hardly grieving for that which cuts too deeply to hold
Stepping forward breathing out
Re:drawn
Re:presented
The picture is so well defined
We live in it
Blurs guide our lines
Until we forget their place
Until fresh air decides their fate.
